My league is broken
So I've poured my heart into my fictional league...i was hesitant to convert it over to ootp2007 but did anyways. Well i'm into my fourth season in ootp 2007 and i go to make a routine lineup change and the game crashes. fine. So when I try to reload my league it won't start up. It says the loading of the database failed. SO MY WHOLE LEAGUE IS NOW RUINED? Unreal, I think I'm done with this game to.
Anyone have a solution? |

I feel your pain. The only solution to these database crashes I have found is to restore from a backup.

Bhay99, I'm sorry to hear about your problem. I know that it must be very frustrating. The only option that we have available to us is to ask the developers to take a look at your files and try to figure out what happened. Could you FTP a copy of your .dat files to us and let us know what the filename is per the instructions in the link below?

Luckily after 5 or 6 load attempts the league started up and I was able to create backup files...close call though

That's odd. Did you do anything differently in the attempt that finally worked?
Is there anything else we can help you with? |

League saver 101
Loading database failed Go into your league folder, and renaming any files that end in *.bak to *.dat instead. For any file that has both a .dat and a .bak version, delete the .dat and rename the .bak to take its place. (What's going on there is that as soon as OOTP finishes downloading a league file, all the league's .dat files are renamed to .bak files as a backup. With your corrupted league file, new .dat files aren't being extracted to take their place, so OOTP thinks the league is corrupt because of a bunch of the .dat files seem to be missing. So "restoring" the old versions will get their leagues up and running again)" |
