Please Help: stuck in preseason!

Hey all,
I love ootp and have been playing for years. I even played ITPB one year and enjoyed that too. I have to admit though, last year I downloaded the demo for ootp 6 and did not like it so i took a year off from the game

I just recently downloaded the ootp 2007 demo and am very happy with the changes that have been made to the interface. I started a new league with fictional players and a fantasy draft and have played the game up to may 30th in the first year.
Here is the problem: though the season started and i have played about 50 games, the other aspects of the game are stuck in preseason. What i mean is that there was no spring training! And now, on may 30th I realize that there is no rookie class to be scouted and no apparant rookie draft coming. Im afraid to play further because a year without a rookie draft is no year at all!
Am i having these problems because im playing the demo? Or is there something else amiss?

The demo is fully functional (though you won't be able to go past August 1st of your first season), so something else must be amiss. Scheduling of the amateur draft and of Spring Training are customizable, so perhaps you accidentally turned these off, or changed their start dates, or perhaps you're working from a simplified template. I don't have the game open at the moment, but you can check how these things are set in the Game menu --> Game Setup --> League Setup (then click on your league on the left) --> Rules for amateur draft options. Well, I'm pretty sure it's under Rules- either that or Options. Spring Training will also be found under one of the tabs there. Let us know what you find there, and I'll try to help further if I can.
