The only team of the original sixteen that has never had the best record in baseball ... The Phillies.

Orioles fan. Although the O's have not been great since Robbie Alomar left.

I also tend to follow the Braves because they are close and they have a minor league team near my in-laws. I also follow the Cubbies because they play alot of afternoon games which I get to listen to at work (God bless Gameday Audio).

Long suffering Rangers fan since at least the Nolan Ryan years. I'm also a diehard Cowboys fan, America's Team. I also love the Dallas Mavericks.

I agree with DMac, as good a first post as any. I've been a diehard fan of the Pirates since I was 8 in 1988, just before the glory days of the early 90s. I still have nightmares about Francisco Cabrera. I might add that it was really nice of TBS to put him and Bream into commercials last summer and rip my heart out all over again. This 5-1 start has me thinking that Lloyd McClendon has sold his soul however.

Wow no Mariner Fans? Not even the bandwagon type? You truly do need to win the World Series to get any respect! Go M's! As for the NL - I hear that lone voice from the back of the room shouting "Go Padres!" and I think to myself yea - Go Padres!

2002 World Series Seattle Mariners vs. San Diego Padres (oh my not sure where my loyalties lie).

And a second Angels fan, from Vancouver, Canada, which was the home of their AAA farm team for years, until recently. (They take away our Grizzlies, they take away our Vancouver Canadians, don't even think about trying to take our Canucks ).
I must say it's even frusterating in OOTP4 to be an Angels fan, I couldn't even get them out of the division, until 2010, when we actually made the world series, which we are in right now. I love this fantasy world I'm living in.

Mets all the way!

But since my entire family loves the Cubs, and I watch them every day, and I love Slammin Sammy Sosa - I'm probably a closet Cubs fan... except today, while they are playing the Mets.

And contrary to what you have been lead to believe my favorite player is actually . No longer in his prime yes.. but when he was, man. Think of how many more gold gloves he would have won if Ozzie Smith hadn't been in the NL! Also, his loyalty to the Reds is something that is rare these days.

You'd be loyal too if you got offered 9 mill a year when you can't even play half a season because some whiny "Franchine Player" who can't stop from getting hurt himself made the team not trade you for a guy who could actually still become worth something.

Yeah, he made himself get hurt. Its his fault. Yeah, he whines too. Not to mention those death threats. What a whiny bsby.

Whyd you have to put a negative spin on my post, you ass?

I grew up in Fulton Couty stadium watching the Murph, Horner, Bennedict, Hubbard, Camp, Mahler, Hraboski, Garber, Washington, Chambliss, Oberkfell. Ahh, the good old days when they barely won 60 games.
