Our Unranked High School Girls BBall team in the State Finals!

Our girls basketball team was unranked and made it to the Iowa state tourney. Monday they upset 6th ranked Cedar Rapids Kennedy to advance to the quarter-finals and face top ranked West Des Moines Dowling. Well, they toppled West Des Moines 41-37 in overtime to advance to the championship game!

A few years ago my school's boys basketball team beat Eddy Curry's squad from the city. They were ranked as the top basketball team in the state and our team was considered huge underdogs. Somehow though, a bunch of white suburban guys beat Eddy Curry's team. Just another cool story.

Around here we have the number two team in the country behind Lebron James' team. McQuaid is 25-0 and in the State Semi-Finals I think.

That is fantastic, I used to coach girls hs hoops in Florida and loved it. Had a team that went 15-1 one year(small school, but it was FUN). Good luck!!

The #2 Ranked Boys Team in America is right down the street from me. Three Division I players and a NY State Mr. Basketball.

Well, our girls got spanked. 37-25! Low scoring game. At least they made it that far.

Our boys team was unranked, but tok 2nd in the region. In state, we choked away the lead and lost by 2, then choked away the lead in the next game as well. The only consolation is that Bismarck High lost in the 2nd round at state.
