When scrolling through the injury log, and I see that F. Hernandez has suffered a career ending labrum tear, I want to know (without clicking on the player profile) if that's top prospect Felipe Hernandez, 40-something reliever Francisco Hernandez or my former shortstop Fernando Hernandez. I can't think of a reason not to include the player's full name. It would also help to be able to see exactly who was traded, say, at-a-glance when looking at the transactions log, and would help me to familiarize myself with the fictional players in my universe.

Currently it just says

It should really say something like

a - J. Nobody lined into an unassisted triple play for J. Somebody in the 9th
or
a- J. Nobody struck out swinging for J. Somebody in the 9th

etc.

Suggestion
Create a Team Summary Report that incorporates Statistics - Leaderboard Information, with some reasonable minimum criteria.

Reason
The game is long overdue for the team summary page which would show its strengths and weaknesses at a rough glance. I'd love to expand and discuss what something like this should contain, look like, or how it could be accomplished. After some more outlining, it might be worth a thread in the General Discussion forum if there's interest.

I want this too although modified slightly!

Add Team Name (short) and League Level (short) into the league-level Upcoming Free Agent report. League level column would be helpful for minor league free agents.

Top Prospects report should not include anyone in the major leagues. Same goes for rankings of minor league systems.

Reason
When I look at the Top Prospects report, I'm generally interested in minor leaguers, not budding stars in the big leagues.

If there's push-back on this, maybe a good middle ground would be to exclude players with more than half a season of major league experience? That way, you could still be on the list early into your callup, but you wouldn't still be on there as a 25-year old who has 2 seasons of .350 BA under your belt.

Update the salary report to include the following:

1. include players at all levels of the organization, and the league level abbreviation
2. include the # of service days required to reach FA or arbitration, like with the 6.5 report

For example, "$380K (arb. in 34)" or "$1.4 mil (FA in 121)". It might take up more space, but really, how many people will need to see the 10-year window. Change it to a 5-year window, and maybe have a second report called "years 6-10".

It would be nice if the arbitration years had an estimate too, based on the player's current performance.

It's very difficult right now to look at the salary report and know for sure whether it's going to be an accurate assessment.

Update the upcoming free agent report (in-game and HTML) so that it includes any player that would become a free agent if he was in the major leagues for the rest of the days left in the season calendar.

So for example, on day 1 of the season, a player with 5 years and 10 day of service should appear on the report, whether he is in the majors or minors. If 10 days go by, and there is no longer any mathematical way for him to reach 6 years of service by the end of the season, he should no longer appear on the report.

Reason
Right now, the upcoming free agent report changes (or at least, I would swear it does) as players get closer to free agency. This can result in players who haven't been on the report all season long suddenly appearing on the report near the end of the season, and surprising the owner by reaching free agency, a huge pain in the butt. As of the first day of the season, this report should not change all season long.

I'd be one of the others. Adding number of championships is cosmetic but would be a nice add for the player histories in their profiles where tallies of all star appearances and awards already appear.

Apologies if it's too late, if it's the wrong thread, if it's already been suggested or it's already available and I overlooked it, but somebody asked the question on the noob board and I'm pretty sure it's not in the game:

Suggestion: Add the results of the All-Star Game to the league history page for each season.

Reason: Some of us want to know this when reviewing our league history (sudden non-sequitur thought - disregard as this is not the place for discussion - but does winning the ASG affect WS schedule in this game?).

Priority: Medium; it should be in the historical record.

Again, apologies if any of the above is true.

Create a "last sim" summary report. (This could also be in the gui/manager portal), that would include relevant information about your team's performance since the last auto-play.

So, if you auto-play for 2 weeks, the page would show some key information about what happened during those 2 weeks:

team's record during that time
injuries
accomplishments
notable performances?

Reason
This would extremely helpful for online leagues, where the first question for online GMs after each sim is "how did I do this past sim period"? It's especially important because while many screens show your record in the last 10 games, not all online leagues sim 10 games at a time.

It would still be helpful for solo leagues, too.

Refine HTML generation (especially for online leagues) so that only pages that have information to be updated are included in the weekly sim upload/update.

Reason:
OOTP2007 re-generates almost every single HTML page in the league universe whether there is new data, info, or stats to be updated because the league date is on the page and needs to be changed to match the league date. Develop a process that would allow for "smart" HTML generation and allow league commissioners to only upload pages that actually changed. Online league HTML generation typically generates tens of thousands of HTML files where only the date at the top of the page changed and the game wants to include that as part of the in-game upload. Those commissioners that use seperate FTP uploads also get handcuffed because they can't simply sort by date to find the latest updated relevant files--they all get updated even if the page is blank except for a league date! This is absolutely crippling for leagues where the php/unzip tactic doesn't work.

Suggestion:
Allow "current year splits" section to be disabled in player HTML reports (in Game Setup). Alternatively, redesign player HTML reports so that career stats are first.

Reason:
Currently, this is a large and partially redundant section ("last year" and "2 years ago" stats are reported when they are also in the career stats section) that I almost always scroll impatiently past when I'm trying to get to a player's career numbers.

If a player is in the top 100 in a Career Leader board stat for his rank to appear somewhere on his Sion Player Page Possibility at the very bottom of the that stat in the Leader board appearance section of thats players profile ..

Its would be much faster than having to load the Leaderboard section in history then trying to find where the player is ranked if at all .
