Players disappearing from minors?

Hi. My problem is that the players on my AAA-affiliate are not showing up in the roster, transaction, trade, etc. screens. The players are there however -- if I ask the AI to set up my minor leagues they appear, however as soon as a transaction occurs, they disappear.

I saw in another thread, the option may be because the option to prevent the AI from making roster moves is checked, but that isn't the case here.

Please advise. Is this a bug, a corrupted file, or something else?

FYI, I've restarted my league, so I can't track this problem any more. I've bumped it for the programmer's reference.

Sorry, cbbl, bumping is contraindicated down here in Tech Support. Issues are officially looked at from oldest to newest (though lately many aren't getting looked at at all).

I'm sorry you had to restart your league.

I'm very sorry your issue has sat here for so long without a response.

Us volunteers are a little on the burnt-out side right now! That's not an excuse, though, but let's see if we can make some progress, if you're still around after all this time...

Cbbl, do you still have a copy of this old league?

What kind of a league was it? (Historical/standard/fictional/based on a roster set, etc.)

Sorry, I did not keep the league. It was so close to the beginning of it that it was just too easy to simply erase it and restart. I guess this will probably go down as one of those "Cannot Reproduce" errors.

FWIW, it was a fictional league without any imports (OOTP-generated players).

If I happen upon it again, I'll save that file somewhere.

Urk. Well, as much as it pains me to let go of a problem like this, I suppose I'll have to go ahead and close this, unless we can dig up the problem again.

Was there anything else special about the league? Did you add/delete teams or leagues or anything? Expansion?

Steve -- I may have the deleted league folder still in the Recycle Bin. I'll take a look and try to restore it.

***UPDATE***

I restored what I think was the right file (dates matched), but the issue wasn't there. Honestly, I think it was a fluke.

Perhaps I can direct you to the ERROR 0001 issue instead? :-)

i have had this same issue in my online league since v2006. it got worse recently, and i was forced to disband my league.

if you want me to provide a League File with the bug, I can. PM me.

That's the only cause of this that I was aware of; just to confirm, when you say it isn't the case here, is the "Prevent AI roster changes" option unchecked for all the affected teams (i.e., that options exists separately for every team in an organization: major-league club, AAA, AA, etc.: if you only unchecked the option for your major-league club, the conflict may still exist for the minor league ones).

Did you follow Kaitaiki's suggestion above and check for the Prevent AI Roster Changes checkbox?
