Error Report

I have an off day on May 31 of my solo league. I click finish today or auto-play until a certain day and the game will simulate the games for May 31 but a Microsoft error comes up when the game tries to advance to June 1 and it closes the game. Any ideas?

Which version of the game were you using?

Does this happen in multiple leagues/saved games, or only the one? Did you delete any leagues within your saved game at any point?

OOTP 2007 version 2.0.2.53

I started a new solo league again tonight and now it crashes on Jan 31 in a brand new season. I redownloaded cubbyfan's rosters and used that. No I didn't delete any league at all. The game auto saves once a year, and the monthly data dumps are not checked. Any ideas?

I got the exact same error message as this one.

Well Nutlaw, I just saw u were posting on the other thread that I just gave a link to. Anyways I just checked those monthly data dumps and it still freezes up on the 31st.

Were cubbyfan's rosters a 2006 set? If so use the following instructions:

"Do this to fix this issue:

1. Go to Game > Game Setup
2. Click on the League Setup tab, then Strategy tab
3. Enter 16000 as the league total for walks"

If not, can you try running a fictional league (without a roster set) to see if that one crashes?

It's cubby's most recent roster so not 2006. I changed the walks anyways and it came up with that error.

I created a fictional league and I simmed the 1st 2 months with no problem.

I just redownloaded cubbyfans roster, made myself a manager of a team, made no roster moves and simmed through January and at the 31, and it did go to February 1st. hmmm oh well just start over.

Should be noted that Cubby's roster has caused crashes for several people. There are a few deleted teams lingering in the database, and some people have had problems with waivers. I don't remember all the details, but you could wade through the (very very long) CubbyFan roster release thread for more info. Try turning waivers off (if they're on), and see if that helps.

I found the section in cubbyfan's thread, page 20 and 21, people were complaining about waivers and the scouting system. I started a new season today and left waivers on and turned complete scouting off and I get beyond January 31 so for me it was having the complete scouting on that was causing the program to close. Why? I have absolutely no idea.
