Park factors for 2007 stadiums?
Does anyone have the park factors to go along with MLB's current stadiums?

Damn, I was really hoping not to have to do it manually. I just spent a few hours the other day averaging out the stadiums for the OBL off of your database.

Kelric,
In your league, do a dump of the database to csv's. Take the factors from Gambo's spreadsheet and paste them into the relevant columns in your parks.csv, and then use my stadium importer (a couple of threads down) to regenerate the parks.dat (You'll need to exit OOTP whilst you run the mod) |

RedSox's stadium importer actually works quite well! It solves the whole by hand problem. just some fancy cutting and pasting in excel...
I will probably tweak my stadium database to utilize this utility shortly.

This is a park factor spreadsheet that I found for 2007 ballparks. Published by baseball info solutions. Has both last years park factors (2006) and a 3 year average (2004-2006). Here's the link
Doing some quick cross-checking, they vary slightly from yours Gambo. Might want to take a peek, though they weren't that far apart. Last edited by southside_hitmen; 06-20-2007 at 08:18 PM. |

Where is the parks.csv file? Is there any way to set this up so that when you create a new league, it automatically finds all the park data (I know you can't do that with the park pictures)?

dola: minor corrections:
Gambo park excel file seems to have attendances to the nearest 500. Based on this assumption, here are some corrections: Citizen's Bank Park: should be 43,500 (43,647) instead of 43,000 Bank One Ballpark: should be 49,000 (49,033) instead of 48,500 Joe Robbie Stadium: debatable...could be revised from 47,500 down to 36,500 based on recent reductions in seating This is based on wikipedia.
