deep drives come up short

Has anybody noticed that it seems like there are a lot of balls that are hit to the deep outfield only to be caught at the shoetops. To me this has happened quite a bit, a lot more often than in OOTP4. Maybe it wouldnt be as bad if the outfielder made the catch against the wall but not at their shoetops

yeah, it does seem a little weird how you are running the same direction as the ball and have to catch the ball at the shoetops.

usually that kind of thing happens when you are running in on the ball and you come up just short..

definately not a big deal though.

Yep, I've noticed that too. I justify it by thinking that the OF caught it running towards the gap.

yeah its not a big deal really just a little annoying at first. Thought I had a hit only to be caught...What a dissappointment that was

Pehaps it should be re-worded, 'made a shostring catch.' That's a little easier to visualize.

this is a bit off topic but one time my best homerun hitter was up and he kept smacking the ball homerun distance. He did this five times and EACh time the damn wind pushed it foul. I was getting really pissed. Of course he pops it up on the infield. Although his next at bat he got his revenge, smacking a 470-footer over the centerfield wall.
