Well the good ol' computer finally died on me today, hurray faulty batteries!
![]() Hard drive is okay though, so it's going to be about a week until I get it back. However I have the good old (slow) PC at home that I'll be using to start getting back to work this week on things. I'm thinking about just starting a new universe and copying things over. From what AP has told me, I think it might solve some of the issues we've had so far. |

Two questions as we embark to create a new league...
1) What's still "missing" from v3.0? What's yet to come? 2) How does this file play out over the duration of a career? How would it compare to Rolen's 2006 roster using OOTP2007 (once converted)? Thank you!

3.0 should be a lot more "clean" with less bugs and such.
I have no idea, never played it. |

Cubby,
Then how is your version looking over the long haul? I've heard of some newer rosters having problems with the young players taking over the league and older players being pushed out by like age 30.

I played to about 15-20 years in the future and didn't have many problems with it using the development settings that I put in the latest version.

Couldn't even start guessing since I'm just now getting back to working on it.

For the sake of our league, what is being worked on next? In other words, if we use version 3.0, what will we be missing compared to a complete set?
Thanks Cubby.

Less bugs, updated transactions, hopefully complete the rest of the missing top thirty prospects

Cubby or any one else who could answer...
What is the status of the ballpark settings? They look sort of random right now. Granteed, pitchers' parks have lower ratings than most, which is good, but the #'s for each park are static. If Detroit has .99 for RH hitters, they have .99 for everything else as well. I have no problem copying these settings from another league file (with MLB factors etc.) but what will this do to the statistically consistency? Thanks!!!!!!!

Ah I forgot about that -- when we created the new "league" the old stadiums were deleted, so that's something we'll have to unfortunately redo.

Do you have a list available, or is there an old league file that would have it for us to copy?

I had a copy of ballpark factors for all parks earlier, I'll see if I can dig it up. I would advise doing that manually if you don't want to wait, as I've learned that mixing and matching .dat files is recipe for disaster.

Is something going to be done about the Iowa Cubs thing, or other minor league coaches with contracts that are scheduled to expire the previous season, thus making it impossible to sign/fire them or anyone else for that level?

Just a quick note to say that I am having a blast with your set. Is it perfect? No. But pretty darn close given the enormity of the project and the obstacles in your way. Thanks for your hard work Cubby and others.

I'm pretty sure we can clean that up relatively easy.
