Inaugural Draft
Is there anyway to publish the reports for a rookie class that are ranked by best players rather than in alphabetical order?
also.. is there any way to publish that same file with talent levels as well as overalls? Thanks! Last edited by kjcrusader09; 08-03-2007 at 02:57 AM. |

I'm very sorry your issue has sat here for so long without a response. Us volunteers are a little on the burnt-out side right now! That's not an excuse, though, but let's see if we can make some progress, if you're still around after all this time...When you say "publish," are you referring to posting it to a web site? If that's the case, then there's no easy way to do it. But, depending on your answer, there may be a decent workaround. Please let us know! Thanks, Steve |

Have you considered using this draft util?

1. It will affect how the report is generated for all the leagues on your computer, not just the one in question. 2. It requires understanding HTML and being comfortable editing it. 3. It requires deciphering the OOTP-specific code elements that are embedded in each HTML template. So I wouldn't really recommend that. bp's suggestion of using Getch's draft utility is probably the most robust and feasible solution; however, I will offer one other possible approach for you. When you're viewing data in OOTP - say, the Draft Pool screen - there's a "Report" button in the bottom right that will let you create an HTML page of whatever information you currently have on the screen. So you can set up a custom View, apply a Filter, and/or Sort the draft pool list however you like, and then create an HTML page of exactly what you see. That report won't "integrate" into your other web reports - i.e., it won't be linked from your league's HTML home page; you'll need to give your users a direct link to the file - and it won't automatically update whenever you update the rest of your web reports, but it will give you a way to view your draft pool in any order you wish and with any particular ratings that you wish to see. The easiest way to do that, then, is to go to your Draft Pool screen, set up the view and columns the way you want (based on your particular request, I'd suggest a View that displays the POT rating of each draftee, sorted in descending order), hit "Report" in the bottom right corner of the screen, and select "Open Report". That will load the HTML version of the page in your default web browser. The location of the file will appear in your address bar, and you use File --> Save As to rename it or save it to a different location as you like. After that, just use your FTP program to upload it to your website, and tell your users what the URL to the file is. ![]() - Kai
