Diaz-Morales

Anyone paying $45 to watch Morales get completely dominated?

Undercard is just alright .. too bad they postponed Torres-Holt which was supposed to be on the card.

I'm sure not going to pay $49 to watch David Diaz beat Erik Morales to a pulp. If Morales gets in any trouble, hopefully his corner will stop the fight right away and not subject him to anymore needless punishment.

Same here, besides we have 2 pretty interesting fights on Showtime. OK, maybe 3 interesting fighters & 1 good bout.

I think if Vasquez/Marquez lives up to the first fight, it should be one of the best return bouts in recent memory. I expect Caballero to beat Lacivera rather easily and set up a unification between him and Marquez.

Am I the only one that thinks Marquez will destroy Vasquez this time around ... I'm thinking Marquez inside 4. I see it going the way the last Pac-Man/Morales fight went.

I'll be at the Horizon/All State Arena watching the whole card live. Decided to treat myself to a ticket. I figure that if we support big shows locally we may get more of them.

I'll be honest......i'm a little worried about Vasquez. Read a an interview recently that was done with Freddie Roach and he said that Vasquez' nose has still not healed from surgery and also mentioned that he is a little punch drunk. Vasquez decided to go through with the rematch with Marquez on 8/4 but Roach, being a guy that cares for his fighters chose not to train him anymore after trying to talk him out of it, to no avail.

The fight of the night on the Morales card is going to be at Jr. fly Wt -

Solis Jr. Fly Championship Vs R. Mayol (Who lost a war for Eagle Kyowa's Strawweight Title last year)....

Should be an excellent fight - From all I've heard it is still a "go" (unless there has been some visa issues?)

As for R. Marquez Vs I. Vasquez - It will be a war while it lasts, just like the first fight - All the tangibles favor Marquez (comfortable with the weight more now, having won by TKO, quick return for Vasquez).....But with all that said....Vasquez still has a punchers chance inside of 5 rounds....

Seeing Caballero fight will also be nice - If he looks as good as he has of late....It definitely sets up a big fight Vs the winner of Marquez Vs Vasquez...

Solis/Mayol is going to be a war. Not exactly a safe title defense for Solis. I'm prediciting an upset - Mayol TKO10.

One of the reasons I thought about buying it .. plus I like the two prospects on the card. Chavez Jr. and Juan Manuel Lopez.

Also let's not forget Kevin Johnson is fighting Friday night on Shobox ... good test vs. Damian Wills.

Kevin Johnson doesn't impress me at all. All he does in every fight is throw his jab and nothing else behind it. Wills should win a UD.

Vasquez said in an interview that his nose had healed quicker than expected and was better than ever. Maybe that's where the punch-drunk part comes in?

Marquez said in an interview that Tim Austin and Vasquez were the best fighters he's ever fought. He also said that Vasquez hurt him pretty good in the 3rd round but that his conditioning pulled him through. But he put Vasquez on the same level as Tim Austin.

Austin was champ for almost a decade. It's too bad he didn't have more visible fights during his career. It's tough in the Bantamweight division, especially these day, to really get exposure.

I'm rooting for Wills because it makes Arreola's win over him look better.

Morales said in an interview that he was too weak to fight Manny Pacquiao at 130 lbs. and that now, at 135, he'll be back at full strength. So I guess, by the time he steps into the ring, he'll be around 140.

Morales has a lot of miles on him. But so did Barerra, and he surprised everyone with his post-Pacquiao fights. It wouldn't surprise me if Morales has a fight or two left in him.

Morales most certainly is shot, he will be beaten up until a late stoppage

I think Wills is a lot better than what people think. He's definitely not world championship material but him being a top 10-15 fighter is not out of the question.

He was well liked until Arreola beat him, then those who don't like Chris think he is a bum. Which is why I am rooting for him. That and Kevin Johnson said he was as good as Ali on maxboxing the other day.

Chris Arreola is far from a bum. He's a good heavyweight but a little too one dimensional for my taste. Saying that, Arreola is very exciting to watch and Wills shouldn't be ashamed of losing to him because he hits like a mule.

Kevin Johnson has a big ego and talks trash about everyone. Ali never clutched and jabbed his way to victories like this guy does. Johnson has never really impressed me and i'm hoping Wills beats him and gives him a huge dose of reality.

Yeah, I hope it is a good rematch. I'm also interested to see Caballero, a guy who's almost 6 feet tall fighting @ 122.

I think I saw him beat Ponce De Leon years ago but don't recall a great deal about that fight.
