Another Small PBP Issue
The pbp gets directions correctly, or at least it translates them in a way that makes sense to me, with the exception of an occasional foul ball. In those cases, it seems to flip flop offering left and right as seen from the defensive position rather than the batter's box. An example follows:

Another example, same situation. Maybe it's a wrong fielder issue and not one of direction?

This has been marked as something that cannot be reproduced.

I'm not being critical of the messenger here, Nutlaw, but the notion that this cannot be reproduced seems an easy way of letting it plummet to a level of inattentiveness.
On the one hand, of course it can't be reproduced. That's the point of posting these incidents. They're happening out of the blue, but in a pattern that's similar enough that more than a few of us have pointed it out. On the other hand, how would one expect to reproduce it?! The only way to 'see' it happen is to wait until it does. Is it every game? No. Is it every other game? Probably not. Do I capture every screenshot and put it up for examination? No. But it appears to me that, in this instance at least, cannot reproduce (which I wouldn't expect you could - it's in the code sequence calling out wrong fielders or wrong directions IMHO) - means 'doesn't happen enough to care this version or likely next' and I won't likely argue that. It bears mention though because there is merit in jarmenia's question: "If not perfection, when is good enough, good enough?" In this case, this response says it's now.

Well on the plus side, this may be the exact same issue that I logged for you separately and regressed given your other post (with screenshot) earlier today, so at least it will have to be pushed aside a second time.

Thanks, Nutlaw. I do appreciate your efforts to 'fine tune' the game and your genuine labors to ensure all items get their due, one way or the other. That disposition is just discouraging. On a larger scale, the same was said of the sign-and-release problem for a long, long, time.

During beta testing, tysok frequently reminded me that -- when it comes to the PbP team -- we're the red-headed stepchild.
