Initial Draft with MLB 2007 Saved Game?

I downloaded the MLB 2007 roster and I'd like to play the game with an initial draft. Is that possible? I haven't found the option when I load the game, and when I select "new game" I don't see the option to start with that roster. Guidance will be appreciated.

Have you made certain that it's in your saved games file AND that the file in question has a .lg after the name? For example, in the saved games file it should read MLB07.lg

It is possible, I think. First, I'd load the game and save it as a quickstart, or save a copy of it, so you can start a new league anytime. Then, you'll want to load a copy of the game, go to the Game Setup menu, and from the list of functions, choose 'release all players and schedule inaugural draft' (or something similar). I don't have the game open just now, but I'm 95% sure that's how you can accomplish what you want. If you can't find the option, let me know, and I or someone else will be happy to help.

After some searching I found the option to release all players, but they were sent to the free agent pool. I couldn't find a separate option to hold an initial draft. Can anyone tell me exactly where to look?

Yes- if you go to the Game menu --> Game Setup --> League Setup --> Functions, the third function in the list is 'Release all players and Schedule Inaugural Draft'. The option won't be available during the season, though (it will be grayed out).
