I personally don't like Jacque. But then again, I don't listen to talk radio, because usually airheads who don't understand things like OBP are given time to speak.

This is all just through talking with people. Kendall is "popular" because he's so well known. I didn't want to short change the guy.

Fontenot remids me Theriot. What's the difference?

I would probably bump Varitek up to Very Popular, but that looks pretty good.

The only ones that I disagree with would be Peralta, Dellucci, Nixon, and Shoppach. I would place Peralta at Popular (since fans still show frustration with him on call-in shows), Dellucci to Insignificant (since many fans really could care less if he comes back off the DL), Nixon to Fair (only popularity comes from pieing people after wins), and Shoppach to Fair (many Tribe fans have asked for increased playing time, though with Garko picking it up no PT available).

These are simply my suggestions as the original poster did a pretty good job.

I was torn on where to put Tek after his performance last season, but after thinking about it, he should probably be "very popular"

Cool Florida Marlins

I split time between Florida & Jersey and am a Marlins fan. I'l try & tackle the Marlins.

Florida Marlins (This is local and with unknown removed.):

Miguel Cabrera, Dontrelle Willis. Hanley Ramirez- Extremely Popular

Josh Willingham, Dan Uggla- Very Popular

Josh Johnson, Anibal Sanchez, Jeremy Hermida, Kevin Gregg- Popular

Alfredo Amezega. Rick Nolasco, Armando Benitez, , Scott Olsen, Aaron Boone, Sergio Mitre, Matt Treanor (It surprises me too, but I' like the guy myself.)- Well Known

Harvey Garcia, Jesus Delgado, Gaby Hernandez, Logan Kensing, Taylor Tankersley, Renyel Pinto, Matt Lindstrom, Cody Ross, Rick Vanden Hurk, Justin Miller- Fair

Jason Wood, Lee Gardner, Robert Andino (Since Uggla & Ramirez showed up, no one talks about him much anymore.), Reggie Abercrombie, Joe Borchard, Todd Linden- Insignificant

Is there a category for unpopular, because I'd like to put Miguel Olivo in it. LOL

Do with this as you will. I'm very excited about your roster Pujols. You seem to have approached it very methodically. I'm curious to see the results.

Seattle Mariners

Extremely Popular: Ichiro, JJ Putz, Felix Hernandez

Very Popular: Raul Ibanez, Kenji Johjima, Willie Bloomquist (Ugh from me, but a big time fan favorite), Adrian Beltre

Popular: George Sherrill, Brandon Morrow, Mark Lowe, Jarrod Washburn, Yuniesky Betancourt, Jose Lopez, Adam Jones

Well Known:, Jose Guillen, Richie Sexson (would have been in the Extremely popular range a year ago, if your starting on Opening Day, this is a definite Very Popular-Extremely Popular)

Fair: Miguel Batista, Ben Broussard (on the rise, could probably be put in Well Known after Richie Sexson's struggles), Jose Vidro, Sean Green (should be higher, getting well deserved recognition from the hardcore fans, the announcers are coming around, but the casual fan isn't there yet).

Insignificant: Jeff Weaver, Horacio Ramirez (Weaver and Ramirez are both extremely popular but in a very negative way), Eric O'Flaherty, Ryan Rowland-Smith, Jamie Burke

Toronto:

Extremely Popular: Halladay, Wells
Very Popular: Thomas, Rios, Reed Johnson
Popular: Zaun, Hill, McDonald, Stairs, Marcum, McGowan, Ryan
Well-Known: Overbay, Glaus, Lind, Burnett, Accardo, Janssen
Fair: Litsch, League, Downs
Insignificant: Thigpen, Olmedo, Adams, Chacin, Towers, Frasor, Wolfe, Tallet

Wells is less popular amongst the hardcore fans at the moment, but I think the average fan would still put him at the top. These are all pretty rough estimates, but they should be a decent start at least.

Just a thought: In real life, popularity rises and falls with a player's performance, it seems. "What have you done for me lately?" applies to a lot of players. However, some players remain popular no matter what.
