The ratings in the editor are out of 200, not 100. If you want ratings between 50 and 60 out of 100, you would want to enter ratings between 100 and 120 in the editor.

What's up with all the FA Personnel having 100+ Blue Rankings? Is this on purpose?

One more question I had. It seems when the set is loaded its still in 2006 even though its January 2007. Does anyone else notice this, is there a way to bypass this?
Thanks! |

Maybe he is burnt out. I know I would be, after putting all that work in to do these rosters. Enjoy NCAA Football 2008, and get back to this when you have a chance!

Oh yeah, forgot you had to input those. And that takes twice as long, since it is on a console...

scouts....devel...random factors
how are you guys using scouts w/ teh set? we've had so many questions about devel / aging and the random talent change settings. I think i've settled on .650 / .750 for the aging / devel. My prob is....I hate using scouts...it's so time consuming. But, if you don't use scouts, you're seeing real ratings, and the only mystery is how they will change. I fear that if we bump the .75 way down, we'll be making it too easy.
So...that means I have to get used to using scouts. So...how do you guys do it so that it doesnt' take forever? I try scouting my org and those of teams I want to trade with so that it's done in 10 days. I'm not going to scout leagues or countries....I don't want an unfair edge and I don't want to spend forever. Basically, I want to know my players, and scout for trades. Is quick-scout from the trade screen enough? And...when scouts are on...you still see SISA ratings....waht are they based on? I think w/ scouts off, the SISA ratings are actuals. How about w/ scouts on? |

One thing that I have done in past versions to avoid scouts and still have an enjoyable/challenging game is change the "Player Actual Ratings Scale" option to "None Displayed". That way you can see each players potential rating, but not their current rating. Then you have to base their value on stats and potential rating.
This method may not be the most realistic but it makes for a very challenging and enjoyable time |

If you use scouts, you could restrict yourself to quickscouting- this ensures your scouting reports aren't very reliable, and doesn't require much micromanagement. The scouting tasklists take the effort out of scouting- set one guy to scout your organization constantly, one guy to scout your league constantly, and use quickscouts when trading for minor leaguers, and you won't spend much time on scouting at all. Scouting nations will be pointless with this set; hidden players are disabled. SISA ratings, with scouts on, are just normal scouting ratings, but by really bad scouts. They're not the real ratings, and are less reliable than the reports you'll get from your scouts. For a real challenge, fire all your scouts and just use the SISA ratings... |

I answered this question in the 'New to the Game' forum - I think somebody called Bryan started a thread on changing the name.

It's in the "GAME" Menu, I think ![]() It's easy once you find the right menu. |

I noticed Julio Franco wasn't in this set when I searched for him.
