NOBL - Longtime OOTP League needs 3 GMs

One of the oldest OOTP leagues (we even predate OOTP) NOBL (www.nobl.net) is again on the recruiting trail. We are entering our 16th season and have 20 GM's. Are you looking for a league that has a lot of longtime GM's who care about there teams and the league...then look no further.

The league:

6.0/6.5
Fictional
24 teams
85 mill cap - all financials on
No Rule V
10 rd draft
Ratings/Talents 1-10

We have a good balance of power and teams have risen and fallen over the years. We also see a reasonable level of player movement via trades and FA classes. We are a day away from opening day...so if you hurry you may only miss 1 sim. Also, a lot of teams are primed to trade so you will likely have a lot of opportunities to tinker

Onto the teams

New York N

NL East (3rd) 66-96
Key Players: Timothy Barrentine (SP), John Lawson (IF), Walter Fussell (IF),

Key Prospects: Steven Matthews (2B)
Farm: Ranked 13/24
Summary: A team that peaked in 2013 and 2014 winning 2 straight division titles and taking home a NOBL Championship. After just missing out on a division title in 2015 the Mets took a huge step back in 2016 as the team was not actively managed. The Mets have a nice mix of veterans that have a lot of value and are in a prime position to rebuild. This team needs a gm with patience because it will take a few seasons.

Cleveland

AL Central (2nd) 81-81
Key Players: SS Quinto, OF Slayton, SP Abdullah
Key Prospects: Juan Urias (RF), Anthony Weil (P) & Matthew Donaldson (P)
Farm: Ranked 3/24
Summary: A team with a bunch of aging vets and some real interesting kids. Cleveland has a strong farm system with 2 AAA SP that are labeled as MR's in game. Flipping the role might just make them #1. They also are packed with talented position players with great eye's. This team could use their cap room to compete this year, but their staff is in need of some reinforcements and rookie's might not be the best way to do that short term. I'm really interested in seeing how the new gm will manuever this team, with a talented Texas team nipping at its heels

Email me at Commish@nobl.net if interested

St Louis [/B]
NL Midwest (1st) 93-69
Key Players: Kieth Coy (SP), Booker Toler (CL), Robert Briganti (OF),

Key Prospects: Peter Millikan (SP)
Ruperto Charneco (1B)
Farm: Ranked 6/24

Summary: A team that has been a contender in a weaker division for a long time. St Louis is at a cross roads, they have some great young talent, but their supporting cast is getting old and needs to be turned over if this team is to compete with LA, Florida, Boston, or Washington the NL powers.

Update on all 3 teams after 20 games

NYN (NL East) - 1st 11-9
CLE (AL Central) - 3rd 9-11
STL (NL Midest) - Tie for 1st 10-10

Are you one of those guys that keep joining leagues that fail? Well ... this isn't one of those leagues. The NOBL has been around since 1995 (using FPS) and switched over to OOTP in March 2002. That's makes us one of the longest running leagues around!
