Historical players/fantasy time line?

Maybe this belongs in with mods.

What I'm wondering is if anyone has made a setup/database/mod where you can use historical players, but are not confined to chronology? You know, the Pedro pitches to the Babe (and drills him in the @$$) kind of thing.

I don't even know if it would work, as I'm not sure if ratings in different eras might mean different things.

I swear someone has a database already made out there with randomized debut years however rather than relying on a seperate utility.
