Confused about a historical league detail
I joined a multiplayer historical league, and the commish is doing a great job so I don't want to ask on the league forum because I feel the question may be perceived as "is he screwing up?", which i do not intend.
I just don't understand how my farm system works. Its hardly a system at all. We are in year one, and I have about a dozen players total scattered through various levels, and I have TWO pitchers total, both at AAA. What do I do if I am hit with a rash of pitcher injuries? It doesn't appear any of my ML middle relievers have the endurance to convert to starter, and only one of my minor league pitchers is a starter. I am led to believe that as time goes by more guys will be developing down there, I just don't really get how it all works. Thanks |

Ask your league - seriously. That said, there's a few things you can look for:
How large is your amateur draft? Can you trade for minor leaguers from other clubs? Any random scrub free agents to sign? Sounds like they have ghost players on and as a historical league, you aren't going to get a ton of amateur every single season. |
