The MH2365 is a hypocrite Allen Green thread

I know I harp on people who write off a fighter after one loss ... but when that one loss involves running like a school girl for 12 rounds after taking a punch in the first round it's hard not to write the guy off.

I would not be the least bit surprised to see Wilson take Green out tonight.

In the end we are talking about a fighter whose (sp?) whole reputation is based off of beating Jaidon Codrington who had 9 fights at the time.

I would bet any amount of $$ that in the long run the overhyped, overrated Codrington is the better of the two.

I did some research and found out that Allan Green had an issue with his colon that prevented him from eating. This only came out after he lost to Miranda. This probably is true but it doesn't excuse the fact Green ran around the ring for ten rounds after taking one good punch from Miranda in the first round.

Green probably wins tonight but I don't see him beating Manfredo in October.

Green changed to a vegan diet free of animal products. I've done this several times myself and though you feel good you lose muscle mass and power but gain endurance and speed, mostly from the weight loss. Green is nothing more than a fringe contender with a good punch and weak defense.

LOL. It does seem like a low blow but Manfredo will outbox Green and win a decision. Everytime "Sweetness" steps up in competiton, he's going to lose. Manfredo is a lot better than people think. He's not a world champion type of fighter but he can play spoiler against the top and borderline contenders at SMW.

Was it Nate Campbell when he was in with BK on ESPN2 where they discussed this fight?

As I recall, they seemed to think Green would just be too big/strong for Peter.

Just like Joe was - right Mike?

The only way Manfredo loses is if the fight takes place in Miami or Tulsa and if Green's uncle is the referee.

All kidding aside, Manfredo has enough hand speed and movement to keep Green off balance and win a close decision.

Okay nice comeback performance by Green .... I take back what I said LOL.

Given his fight with Miranda, Green did the best thing possible and jumped on Woods right from the bell.

Green beats Manfredo but I still don't think he will ever be a "real" champ. Also no matter what excuses he has to tell himself to get back into the ring, he got hit hard in the first round by Miranda and ran scared the rest of the fight.

Good performance though and I give him credit. How long until Zima shows back up to say Green is ready for Calzaghe or Kessler?

Green did what he had to do and jumped on an overmatched Woods. I give him a lot of credit because some guys after they lose their first fight are never the same mentally.

For some reason the Green/Manfredo fight seems 50/50 to me. I'm pulling for Manfredo but it wouldn't suprise me if Green KO'ed him.

Looking at the ring rankings for the SMW division I don't see anyone in the top 10 that I wouldn't favor over Green.

Hm. I'm here! I'm here! I'm still here!! Be sure, what Allan Green will KO Manfredo soon by 9 or 10 rounds. Manfredo is not for Green's level. What about our gigantic thread Green vs Miranda.--- Miranda was in his hometown and his fans , while Green was alone with Miranda fan's whistles and his crash out psychology by that all. He man too. Miranda loss to Pavlik next fight. Pavlik - get ready to lost soon too and ... Taylor ... Kessler .... Hatton....Cotto...Williams and many others - get ready. ALLAN "SweetnesS" GREEN the future Champ.Name: Green_Allan_15.bmp

Tell me Zima. Why should Cotto and Williams "get ready"? Green fights at around 167 lbs while Cotto and Williams are about 20 lbs lighter.

Oh jeez. Soon as Allan Green picks up a win against a journeyman, once again Zima is trying to convince us that his fight against Miranda was a fluke. Can't really argue with that

Yeah there are some on this board that you can't have a varying opinion than, Zima is definitely one. Green made all sorts of excuses for his loss to Miranda .. the best was his diet caused him colon problems. So colon problems make you run like a girl gotcha.

So I think I have this figured out .. if I am out in the yard and I see a snake and I run screaming down the street crying and failing my arms about that means I have a colon problem!
