How to become GM of Major League club

Hi everyone, I am new to 2007 OOTP, and I wanted to start my gM career at the major league level, without toiling in the minors. Is there an option to start out as a GM in the majors, without having to wait for a position opening up, which seems like never happens?

When you start a new game it asks you if you want to start unemployed or if you want to start with a club. Just highlight 'unemployed', then highlight 'Major League' and move the cursor over to the club you want to run.

And you can take any job you want, at any time, as follows:

-go to Manager menu --> Options;
-turn Commissioner Mode on;
-go to Manager menu --> Available Jobs. All jobs in your universe should be listed;
-apply for the job you want. You'll get it.
-turn Commissioner mode off.
