Hello there.... some questions from me after my first "play-by-play" games..

1) When i look at my "SION Broadcast", i have the problem that my scoreboard at the left top corner doesn´t run.. it´s fully "Blank" and there are no infos for me... so i have to play at "SION Webcast" to get a functioning Scoreboard... is anyone else there with this problem??

2) How can i see, when i have to substitue my starting pitcher, when he is to "tired" to go on pitching... How Many pitches can an "normal" starting pitcher do until he gets to tired? Is there any chance to see this in the statistics of the game?? Or am i forced to look just at ne numbers of balls und hits and so on and become a "feeling" of my starting pitchers?? I´m a little bit helpless.. because i´m a "baseball-newbie" here in Germany.

Anyone who can help me?

How many pitchers can your starter throw? It depends on his Endurance rating. In real baseball now, 100 pitches is the 'standard'. Pitchers will sometimes throw 110-120 pitches in a start, but rarely more than that. Pitch counts in the 140+ range are very rare these days, largely because of the injury risk that comes with throwing so many pitches. Things were very different even 30 years ago, however. If your starter's endurance is above about 60/100, he should be ok to throw at least 100 pitches in a game. If you have a starter with an Endurance around 50-60, he might only be good for 80-90 pitches. Relievers will often get tired after 20-30 pitches.

The best way to tell in the middle of a game is to 'Visit Mound'; if he says 'I'm perfectly fine! Let me pitch please!' then he's not tired. That message will change as he gets more and more tired (there are perhaps six different messages), through 'I'm tiring at the moment, but I've still got some strikes left!' all the way to 'Get me out of here! I can barely lift my arm!' You can only 'Visit Mound' once per inning, so you may sometimes need to watch for other signs of fatigue. Tired pitchers lose fastball velocity and control, and leave pitches higher in the strike zone, so you can often tell by watching the Webcast if a pitcher is getting tired.
