I'm not seeing historical player stats for the MLB. It's got historical team stats, but if you click on the link for , let's say, the 1962 Yankees, no players show up. This really takes away the usefulness for me.

Looks great- but crashes for me without even simming a day...Does it work for you- or have you actually tried playing it yet?

Honestly haven't tried even simming a day yet. I spent so much time having it ready to roll, I didn't even think about that. Are waivers turned on? If so, try turning them off and see if that helps as that helped me when I used 2.1 the first time.

EDIT:

I just tried running it and with my waivers disabled was working perfectly fine, got into late February with no hitches at all. Looks good!

Had a simple question does this set include all the logos, uniforms and ballparks? Or is that downloaded separately like football manager. I used your set last year and it was great just thinking about trying it again and seeing what else I might need. Thanks for any help.

A wtp is a World Template File. You open with OOTP to start with a template. Place it in your world templete directory.

After numerous tests throughout these updates, myself and others have still seen that the Devil Rays end up posting some remarkably good seasons and taking AL East crowns left and right, with some World Series berths sprinkled in. Has anyone else seen this in any tests?

It won't surprise me at all if the D-Rays reach the playoffs in two years. They've got some monster prospects.

Glad to hear- must be on my end then- though waivers were disabled.

In your OOTP/data file if you have never created your own template you wont have a folder that is necessary. Therefore just right-click and create a new folder titled "world_templates" then just extract the file into that folder and now when you load your game start go to "Create League from Template" you'll see the file located there.

when I look at the position experience for players, no postiion players have any experience other than pitcher? does this affect their ratings or is it going to just make them be moved to the position that best fits their ratings?

Is it me or is there something wrong with the game? I know Cubby (and others) are doing all they can but it just seems there are some real "coded" problems preventing this roster set from being a success. I know nothing about developing these sets but it just appears that it is not the work of Cubby and others, but the game itself that is messing them up. Just one "error" after another...am i wrong?

Honestly I would say yes you are wrong. When I created the base template that I am using for the rosters I am working on, I made a test copy to test things like a completely new financial system, different development ideas and things like that. I have probably simmed over 100 seasons to work out the ideas that I came up with. I've used setups that include feeder leagues, international leagues and all that fun stuff and Never once had a crash or any problem like that.

I have the same issue as well. Don't get me wrong I think the rosters are great but it would be nice to see some historical stats with historical rosters/seasons etc.

On another note, I myself created a universe beginning in 2006 with imported historical stats/rosters/etc. using Gambo. I then combined some of the other roster templates from 2006 to create the universe. I even have uniforms and stadiums for most minor league, international, independent and college leagues. Was very tedious so I can definitely appreciate the efforts of Cubby and company! MLB rosters contain real 2006 players.

With the work involved to include real rosters I see why I played only fictional leagues in the past. Less work to setup and more time to actually play and enjoy the game.

I hate to say it, but you're right, its something APujols is going to find out unfortunately once he releases it to people as well, I haven't had a crash yet really but once everyone gets it in their hands and starts trying things you've never considered, there's bound to be errors here and there.

Good to hear that turning off waivers fixes things though -- I think the solution might be for me to just advance the next set to the beginning of Spring Training and then turn waivers on so when you fire up the rosters you're sitting on March 2, or whatever the date is.

Does anybody know how to conduct a fantasy draft using these rosters and all of the stuff that comes with the set?

No offense Cubby, but did you ever think it might be a bad idea to base the set on the work that you and Erich had all kinds of problems with from last year?

Cubby,

How hard would it be for you to release that march 2nd set? I am dying to play.

Cubby, just wanting to know when you think you would be able to get up the rosters with my feeder leagues added to it? No big rush at all, I just can't wait to see what it looks like with the feeders included
