Strategy & Equivalencies + Another Question
First question I had was about Strategies & Equivalencies (sp?) when you start a game. Does someone have a list of like the number of HRs, Walks, K's, AB's, etc., to put into this section to decrease power numbers and great hitting? I don't want another dead ball era for my fictional league, but I would like some fewer power numbers, the kind that came right before this so-called steroid era. I would explain this a little better, but right now I'm generating fictional pictures in my new league so I can't do anything within the game.
Another question is about something I experienced when I loaded a world template I had saved. I loaded a template and for some reason all the dates were screwed up, for example, the winter meetings took place some time during may and players filed for free agency in April. The next time I laoded the template it worked fine, just wondering if this strange thing has happened to anyone else? |

I have no input on your template issue.
About the Strategies, go to the top line of that column and select which year you'd like to model (I prefer 1968). DO NOT mess around with the League Totals on your own. If you can't find a year that gives you the results you're looking for, adjust the Modifiers instead. Just keep nudging the modifiers you're unhappy with up or down a touch until you're smiling. League Totals work in a counterintuitive fashion, meaning that if you want fewer homers, you have to RAISE the League Total for homers. Don't even bother asking why it works like that: It's A Mystery, My Son. Just don't touch them. (They'll give you hairy palms.) |
