Yeah, I'm watching mine on a widescreen monitor, and I think it looks great. I'm always stoked when I turn on a game and it is widescreen. I have watched a few games which have randomly alternated back and forth for no good reason, which gets frustrating.

I've had some strange blackout issues I think (Atlanta vs. Boston were blacked out earlier this year even though the games weren't on national TV and I live in New Jersey!) but it's been pretty good. Didn't upgrade to premium this year; maybe they'll have a post All Star break special.

I had an Angels-Tigers game be blacked out on a weeknight incorrectly, called them up and it was fixed immediately. Don't consider that an endorsement of their overall customer service, however, because it sucks.

So what are they doing on ad breaks now? Since a big part of why I've not re-upped is the whole Dick's Sporting Goods thing.

Weird. When I viewed a widescreen game in full screen on my notebook it looked like crap. Tons and tons of wasted screen space.

They went on a DSG bender for a few weeks that almost broke my will to live, but now they are using some still life shot, nothing bothersome.

Mine had wasted space too, but I still like it better, just like a movie in widescreen.

But the thing is that when I watch a movie in widescreen on my widescreen notebook monitor, there isn't nearly as much wasted space. As it is on the MLB.tv broadcasts, I can barely read the score line during the inning.

Ah... Interesting. When I signed up, you had the bouncing breakout ball of death, no sound though. Then they went to the tedious PacMan one. Then I quit. I heard the DSG thing was horrendous.

Thanks for the info.
