Contract Question

I have a fictional league and during FA I made a few offers to some players. The LF M. Thomas was asking 8 mil for 3 yrs. I offered him that and then got an email that I wasnt even close to offering what he wanted. So 15 days go by, his demands go down and I match his demands again. Again I get the same email saying I am not close to offering what he wants. Well needless to say he is unsigned through the 30 days and agrees to a 1 year deal for 1 million. Is this a bug?

Haven't seen this in FA..but have seen it on contract extentions on occasion.

Just add an additional 10K to the offer and sign him up.
