Of course, you might be saying that holding the ammy draft in conjunction with the Rule 5 draft is possible NOW, by moving the draft date later rather than earlier. If that's the case, then you're right; my idea wouldn't help anything.
I could be wrong, but I think the game only disallows scheduling the draft for January or February.

This has been marked as something that is either unsupported or not possible to fix.

The game allows 2 draft pools to be created in 1 season and the response is this is unsupported or unfix-able? It seems to me if you want to make a versatile game that does nearly everything for nearly everybody then you need to make that versatility actually function properly in any circumstance the game allows. I'd much prefer the game had more user limits rather than allow users to select reasonable looking options that will not actually work in the game. I would guess a large portion of the outstanding OOTP bugs are related to this game versatility that makes user option related issues nearly impossible to test thoroughly.

BTW, one easy fix to this particular issue would be to not allow a rookie draft to take place before about March 20. You would limit user options slightly, but you'd fix the unfix-able double draft creation bug .

Agreed. Sent back to the developers for consideration.

This was claimed fixed for the third patch, presumably with the rookie draft scheduling limitation, though I don't know for certain.
