Cubbie this is a late comment --- but can we start a 2005 league and then sim 2006 moving players where they are to be --- then 2007 (since it is the unknown) can start the seasonbased on past seasons but where the players grade will impact 2007,
i have problems DFA and free agents for team ,,, first to track ,,,, then to sign DFA/FA them to ,,..;

Alright hang in there guys, trying to solve our birthdate problem before I get this out the door. Also, there seem to have been a few guys on each team that are rookies but had service time for some reason, those guys should be fixed now.

Well shoot.
Sorry to disappoint for those waiting for a release tonight, but it looks like redsoxford will have to take a look at it first, having issues with the college league actually feeding into the major league. ![]() Sorry about that guys! |

Cubby if you want to post it I can have a look at it for you. I have imported Foz's college set in your last release with no problems.

How did you go about it? I imported it (which gave me the MLB+minors+colleges) so I went ahead and deleted the majors and minors, and re-assigned the college league's parent league to be our regular MLB setup instead of the now deleted one.
Simmed to the draft date, and none of the players from the college league go into the draft pool. I assume this is how it's supposed to work right? I haven't ever used one before. ![]() Do I need to add a high school feeder as well for it to all work correctly? |

OK....you done it exactly like I did...Everything in mine worked properly...If you want you can release the players in the college league and do a draft...that's how I did mine.
I don't have a HS feeder league and it works fine.

Cubby another way to do this would be to create a new game using Foz's template....delete all league's except College....start the game and then save this new game as a template with just the College league....
open your game and import the college league from the template you just created... I have done it this way also and it works fine with me ![]() Hope this helps |

One question/request: I think it's fantastic that a release is being prepared with feeder leagues, international leagues, etc, but will there also be a MLB+minors-only update?

Cubby, as far as a high school feeder league goes, my really good friend asked me to post on this because he was reading the boards this morning before work and wanted me to let you know he is working on a template for HS that is almost complete. He was working on doing it with using real AAU teams from Florida, Texas, etc... he gets off work around 5:30 to 6:00 PM EST and was planning on finishing it after that. If you want, his e-mail is mvprkvjr@yahoo.com and you can e-mail him and then he can e-mail you the template. Anyways, back to this MLB 07 the show... I'm doing this "road to the show" and I must say it's not bad at all...
Patiently waiting your release... ![]() Condo |

Not a real big deal but maybe you don't know about this yet....
Ben Copeland is misspelled as Benj Copeland also Kila Kaaihue (Kala Kaaihue is what you have) Last edited by Blaksox1919; 07-07-2007 at 03:14 PM. |

I think Benjamin Copeland has gone by Ben, Benj and Benji since joining the minors. BA lists him as Benj at the moment. There are also two Kaaihues (good job on the spelling, I always get that wrong!), Kila and Kala.

Are you absolutely sure this works- becasue I am 99% sure that once you delete the originating parent league the feeder league was associated with it becomes unafillated...You can still import it all you want- but it is no longer a feeder league- which sort of defeats the purpose. If you have chosen your draft to be feeder + generated players- you are probably drafting all AI generated players. An easy way to check this is to see if any of your draftees have college experience- if they don't- they are not from your feeder league. I could be wrong- and maybe you have found a work around- but I messed with this for hours several months ago- and no matter what I did- once I tried to associate Foz's feeder league with any other MLB type league- it lost it's feeder designation. Now, perhaps Redsoxford has found a way to change the association through one of the exported files- I don't know. The way I did it was to save Cubby's roster as a template; then you can start a new game with this template and add an NCAA feeder league with the exact same subleague configurations for conferences and teams as Foz's template. Export all files to CSV. Then, using Excel you can swap out the team names from Foz's exported teams.csv with Cubby's teams.csv that you exported using the new college feeder. You can also do the same for the cities and park data as well as the team colors Foz worked so hard to get right for all 112 teams. You also have to add a dummy character into the historical ID field in teams.csv file for reimporting (I just entered in "A" for all the teams s the field isn't used anyway). You then re-import the teams.csv back into cubby's roster using Redsoxford's most excellent import program and everything works perfectly- and the league retains feeder status. The whole process takes about 20 minutes or so. I can do it for Cubby if he wants if you guys can't get it sorted out. I really hope you're right about reimporting a feeder league team as a template and retaining feeder status- because you're right- that would be even easier- but it simply doesn't work for me. Can you check your league out again and verify for us? Last edited by NomarHits400; 07-07-2007 at 04:04 PM. |
