What am I doing wrong (customization)

Per one of the subtitles of this forum, downloads, I have a question about customization:

I have a league in which I am trying to update the uniforms for facegen (real MLB). I have everything I need but when I look at the uniforms the teams usually have their regular logo on the cap (not the cap logo) and the uniforms are always a solid color. This can be fixed by updating each item individually but it takes forever. Isn't there a way to simply dump this in a folder and "wah lah?!?!" I don't mind doing it for the MLB teams but the minor league teams have the same issue.

It's really confusing having a folder for files in the data folder but also a place to put them inside of your league folders (html/images). What do I need to know here? This shouldn't be so confusing!!!!!!

It seems too that the images folder only updates on things that have been clicked on. Can I still dump images (pics, logos, etc) into this folder or shoudl they go somewhere else for a pre-existing league?

Please help!

This confused me at first too. The folders outside of your saved game folder are the files that will be used when creating a new league. The files inside your saved game folder are the files being used by that particular league. Make sure you have the cap logos, jersey files, and team logos in the correct folders within your saved game folder. The you can go into the game, go to game setup/player and picture options, and from there you can do a mass change to the players by clicking the buttons under team picture functions (reset all cap logos, reset all jersey logos, etc...). The files have to have the same names as the teams, so if you have a team named Boston(A) Americans, the file for jerseys would be named jerseys_logo_Boston(A)_Americans.png

Thanks.

Do all of the jersey files (all of them) go into the jerseys folder inside of my .lg folder? Also, can I delete the items in my /html/images folder then?

Thank you!

This is so frustrating. When I click to reset all team logos all I end up with are the generic text ones.

Why is this so hard? Why do these files seem to create themselves from the depths of my hardrive??!?! Shouldn't this be implemented a bit better? I shutter to think how someone who isn't used to this must feel.

Where do these files need to go? I see 3 places. The root folder for the game itself, which as far as I know is used only in league creation. Then there are two places it seems within the league folder itself.

Update:

I have the player photos and team logos working by dropping them in my /html/images folder. The jerseys are all a total mess as they are all neon green.

From what I was told in an earlier post it seems as though I am supposed to "reset all jersey/cap..." I'm afraid to do so because it mentions that it deletes and recreates which I do NOT want to happen. I have all of the jersey/cap files but just want the game to recognize them and coordinate them without me having to do it manually.

Great link thanks! I followed the directions to a "t" but still have the uniforms as neon green, the caps having the TEAM logo and not the actual hat logo.

How do I get this to come up right? Am I the only one? Do you have to "find" these manually using the jersey editor?

Thank you! I can't wait to get this started!

For many, most definitely. The game finds some on its own and misses others for some reason. Also, if you have name dupes, it may pick the wrong one. You are going to want to edit for yourself to some extent, as there are a lot of choices for major league caps, jersey logos, and compiled jerseys. Here's a tip with the jerseys: If you load a compiled jersey and like it, then fine. If not, then load just the jersey logo and play with the settings (colors, styles) and regenerate. Realize, however, that doing so will override the compiled jersey completely; you cannot edit these from within the game by changing a color or adding a stripe.
