Number of teams: 24 Teams
OOTP version: 2007

This is what we call a "pay league". Each season, owners will pay an entry fee of $10. There is a 100% payout, meaning that this is completly non-profit. Winner gets a very nice payout plus a trophy to boot. Here is the payout structure:

Finish .500 or better - $5
Make the playoffs - $5
Win the 1st round of playoffs - $5
Make the World Series - $25
Win the World Series - $55 + a trophy

So basically it breaks down like this.

If you lose in the World Series you will get a total of $40
If you win the World Series you will get a total of $95 plus a nice little trophy.

What we are looking for is about 3 or 4 guys that I can place on the waiting list. We are currently going through our current list of owners, waiting for entry fees. This week is the deadline for these guys to get in. I expect there to be about 3 or 4 teams with an opening.

We will be starting with a fantasy draft, doing atleast a round each day over the forum with live draft dates mingled into the schedule. All financials will be set equal and we will use coaches but no scouts. I was able to get my hands on Rolen's new set that has yet to be released (the ratings are good to go, but some players were on different teams, but since we are drafting the rosters, its no big deal). We are looking forward to this league as it will be a great time.

I am interested in joining, but this seems like a 1 year league. I mean why would a team that finishes with 65 wins pay 10 dollars to go at it in year two? Who would possibly be interested in paying 10 dollars to become the new owner of that team to keep the league going?

I guess the incentive is pay 10 bucks to win a 100. If you do get .500 or better you do get $5 back. I plan on making the draft classes pretty solid for those teams that need improved.

We have 3 for sure openings as of right now. Those are:

San Diego
Oakland
Detroit

Keep in mind we are doing a fantasy draft as soon as we get 24 owners paid up.

We are also using Rolen's roster set (the one that has yet to be released). He graciously let me use it. The set is not finished as there are still some players that need to be placed on other teams, so don't hound him for it . But since we are doing a fantasy draft, that is not a big deal to us.
