First online league, export question

I joined my first online league and I have a question:

After I get the league files installed and loaded, am I working in "offline mode"? If I don't export, does anything I do "go away"? Or will there be problems if I make changes, forget/choose not to upload, and them get a new simmed file the next time one runs?

You are working in offline mode. Nothing will be reflected in the commissioner's file (which is where the sim occurs from) until you Export Via FTP from your manager home page. If you make a bunch of changes, don't export, then a sim occurs and you load the new files, then your changes will go away.
