Waiver removal

I'm on my last day to remove one of my best players from waivers, or he will be claimed by another team. AI had put him there, why I do not know. I've looked under "action" to see how to remove him, but still not sure how?

Drag him to the top of the screen. (Where the team name is) That might work.

If he's still on the active roster, right-click (ctrl-click on a Mac) and choose 'Remove from Waivers'. If he's also been designated for assignment, first make room on your active roster, drag the player to the active roster, then do as above. A warning: if the AI has tried to waive him once, it will probably try again...

Here are my options. Tried right-click but options are still same as below. He still has 2 years left so an extension is out. I did place him as untouchable but that will not get him off waivers. Dragging did not work. There is nada under Trade options either. Thanks for the responses.

The player in that pic isn't on waivers- you still have the option to 'waive player'. What screen in-game is making you think he is on waivers?

Promote him to AAA, then demote to A.

When Promoting him to AAA I get "The player refuses to be demoted".

Ah, ok, all is clear now:

-you (or the AI) tried to trade the player after the trade deadline. All players traded after the deadline must clear waivers;
-someone claimed your player (therefore you received that news message);
-when you attempt a waiver trade, and a player in the trade is claimed, the game automatically removes the player from waivers and cancels the trade.

So you're in the clear; you can't make that trade, but you won't lose the player on waivers- the game removed him for you.

At least, that's what appears to have happened- open up the news message that says 'Waiver trade with Huntsville cancelled', and if R Rojas is part of that trade, then what I'm saying above is correct. A different aspect of the game behaviour here is strange (Huntsville wants to make a waiver trade with you, then claims one of the players in the trade on waivers, blocking the trade), and has been reported as a bug in tech support.

dola,

You can also see exactly who you have on waivers from your team Transactions tab. Click on the 'Waivers and DFA' subtab, and check the list of players on Waivers; you can confirm there that Rojas is not on waivers (if he is it will say 'R Rojas, 0 days remaining, claimed by Huntsville') in the bottom left panel.

I think I created confusion in this offseason when I added Triple A league. Because the league Rojas played in last year was the top league in my universe. So the game sees Triple A as a promotion but the player sees it as a demotion.
