WLB Looking for Two New Owners

We have currently two teams open in the the WLB. The first, the London Ravens, are a team with a great fan base and the one of the best farm systems in the league. A dedicated owner with some patience will really be able to take this team places in the hard fought European Division. The second team is the New Delhi Bengals. They are also an up and coming team boasting perhaps the best catcher in the Eastern Hemisphere, Arturo Albino and the hot young pitcher, Ushiba Motnol.

The WLB is fictional OOTP5 league with:
- four years of OOTP4 history
- traditional ratings
- finances on ($75 million salary cap)
- coaches/scouts off
- no DH
- renamed players (for international effect)
- live sims twice a week (Mondays and Thursdays) of two game weeks
- live amateur draft and All- Star Game

We are currently in the 2006 offseason, so now is time to join!

If you are interested, please email me, Ben Music, the WLB recruiter, at ben.music@testquest.com with your name, AIM handle, your experience and why you'd like to join us in the WLB.

I look forward to hearing from you!

It's a great league with some intriguing storylines over the past four years. My Rome Gladiators, for one, have finally come to life, making the playoffs in '05 after three years of abysmally losing seasons.

As for London, let me say this: If you're looking for a team, get this one and get it now!

But, Louie, you say, this team is truly awful (67-95 last year). And they are. But they also have the 3rd-best farm system in the WLB, a loyal fan base and $118 million available for FA bidding. Take this team, you can go anywhere you want with it.

As for New Delhi, you gotta like a project to take this one on. I wouldn't kid you: no money, no fan support, this team's bad and it's always been bad.

Now, that is the kind of job some people like to tackle. It's gonna take a long building process and some lean times. But the team's got a decent farm system and, as Ben mentioned, it's got a couple of legit stars amid the dross. There's something to work with for you rebuilding specialists.

So if you want to be in a great v.5 league with some really active owners (check out the message board), drop on by and see what you think.

P.S. OK, London can't really spend $118 mil on FAs; we have a salary cap. But you get the idea. They're loaded.

Any league that Louie endorses and is a member of must be top notch. I've had the pleasure of playing in two leagues with the Wireman.

BTW, Louie, it appears the Nats may make another run this season.
