No Rosters? ... Let's Get to Work. - Page 18

Still could use some help getting the rest of my side of the project done by Sunday. I either need about 3 people who are able to put in roughly 10-12 hours of work apiece OR maybe if I can get a bunch of people (say 12-15) who'd be willing to put an hour in each, we could knock this thing out in no time. So please PM me if you have any spare time at all to help out today and/or tomorrow. Thanks

This is going to sound like a dumb question but oh well.

I've noticed for the birthdates, a LARGE number are off by just one year. By large I mean 85-90%. So I think if we can fix that, it won't be as big of an issue for the first release and we can touch them up later.

Does anyone know how to increase an entire column (which lists birthdates by xx/xx/xxxx format) by one year in Excel? I can export the rosters, open them in Excel, do this, and reimport to change everyone by a year, but I'm unsure how to do this.

Assuming the value is in cell A1. Formula to change

=DATE(YEAR(A1)+1, MONTH(A1), DAY(A1))

Would need to put that in another column

Ok, one final push to get my side of the project (or at least Phase 1 of it) finished by tomorrow. There are currently 4 of us working on the Majors at the moment. However, we haven't gotten to AAA, much less the rest of the Minors, as of yet. So unless I get about 10 new volunteers who are able to put a good 3 hours in tonight or tomorrow, I doubt we'll have the AAA player info ready for the initial release.

Of course, that doesn't mean the job will stop there! Keep in mind that I've only been working on this aspect of the rosters for about a week and a half now. Cubby and HB have been working on the entire set for quite a bit longer. So it's really just a matter of getting caught up. And over the next few weeks, we should be able to do just that.

In the meantime, let me know if you might have a few hours to spare tonight or tomorrow. If there are enough of you out there, who knows... maybe we'll get AAA done by release after all!

PM me if you can help. Everyone else, I'll keep you updated.

Can anyone give me any update as to what day this coming week or next when you are likely to post the Roster set, being as realistic as possible.

I know you are all very busy. No pressure on this end.

Just trying to do some planning with our OOTP league.

Sorry, we've been posting in the roster rating discussion thread, which I'm hoping the mods will trim out so its ONLY about rating discussion.

Anyway, we're releasing the first set tomorrow, which will be somewhat raw, and then probably a second more refined set in a week or two.

You'll have something pretty solid to play tomorrow though.

Yeah, afternoon can mean so many thing. To someone like me who wakes at 5:30 am, afternoon is noon-2. But to a teenager, afternoon is like 4-6 pm.

Cubby I'll give you the like $1.31 that I have in my pocket if you release them before 6pm! I have to play before seeing the girlfriend tonight because she is (sadly, like most girlfriends) Anti-OOTP. Lol

NO!! Those dreaded words, "Anti-OOTP". Im going to say there released at 3:27 pm. So, a little over 2 hrs from now.
