Wind Direction
I tried to find this in the manual but couldn't find an answer.
Is the wind_direction value based on an absolute compass, or relative to the ballpark? If it's the first, how do you tell the game what alignment a park is on. You could have two parks in the same city but one with a HP-1B line running north and the other with a HP-1B running south. Having an absolute wind of easterly would mean less balls being blown foul behind 1st in the first park but increase it in the 2nd |

Complete guess is that it's relative, it would seem easier to program that way.

The game seems to always reference left to right, or out to center, or in from right, etc... I can't imagine that it's coded any other way than field oriented as, to my recollection, compass directions are never a reference.

Wind Direction
If you check out a full box score, the wind is listed and recorded by MLB in reference to the park. In from Left, Out to Center, etc is how the wind is listed.
