Hey Jack,
To answer you, the reason it's being only given to people that express some desire to help is because it's by no means complete. As soon as it's playable I will widely distribute it. But right now basically the entire feeder league is empty of players. And the players in some other leagues are still mostly fictional. So either I need the time to fix that, or the help to fix that before it's what I consider to be playable. |

Nothing you have said can be trusted- apparently, even your statement that you deleted the rosters form your hard drive- or that you were no longer going to make mods. Please don't try and play the martyr here- it just doesn't suit you. Why you haven't been banned altogether given the lies you've told is beyond me...I hope if this turns into more of the same you will be. If you want respect- earn it. There will be deliverables, or there will not be deliverables. All else is bread and circuses.

Sounds good, I need to finish adding the players to the NCAA Feeder league, well actually the fictional placeholders, first. That way everyone that ends up helping can work easiest in Excel and then we're all working off the same set of Player IDs. So once I get that done, I will PM you the download link

nice comment
Since we already have half of the college players done and getting more people to help we will get this set done, right now we are fixing the dob and different areas for the major league players. As soon as we have the file availble we will start to send it out to people who express interest in helping

Then you probably know about 500 different reasons why I am able to post here from different computers all under the same IP huh? because that was one of the main reasons that the Mods (IE. TC) have accused me of lying about where I was and wasn't

Does that make it right? Does that violate the TOC here? Is there a reason for being so "evasive?" These are questions inquiring minds want to know.

Do we really need this again? This has happened with every post AP has started. I honestly think we just need to ignore this guy. If he produces a roster set then great. If he doesn't, there is no need to get into a verbal war with him.
Now on the side of you AP. I know its tough hearing people bash you and what not but take a note from Rolen and the other MOD makers. Just shrug it off and do not add fuel to the fire. Chances are there are more people out there that appreciate the work that MOD makers do compared to those few people that lash out at them on the boards. But you do have to earn your credibility back in my honest opinion. Professionalism is the first step to doing that. So try not to get your hands dirty when someone throws mud at you. |

Actually Jack all I was trying to do was set the record straight for once. I never had bothered to do it before. I left for a while and that obviously allowed people to run their imaginations wild on half truths. Things like my IP never changing. and neglected myspace page that i no longer troubled with updating, but still kept only because it was of use to keep in contact with a couple of people. So basically this was my one and only time explaining the who, what, where and why of the previous half truths.
and Now that it's over and done with, I will go back to my editing and only discuss roster related matters. |

AP:
If you are indeed still working on a roster set, and would like assistance, I can help in any way you need. I'm jonesing for some usable set that models modern American pro baseball. I've tried fictional play, and I just can't get into it. Steve Last edited by KySteveH; 06-20-2007 at 06:27 PM. Reason: typo |

Jason, I recommend you go back to working on your roster. The problems with your past should stay there. I don't believe you would want to have the facts revealed about your previous behavior, and attempting to discuss it again is really bad form.
If you continue this vein of discussion, we will address it accordingly. Stay on topic, and leave the unsubstantiated comments out of your thread. If you really want to work on your roster set, then bringing up the past isn't really the best way to do it. By offering the download link to everyone might do wonders for your project. As we said previously, the onus is on you to prove what happened in the past is past. But keeping the focus on your roster set is more important don't you think?

So anyways,
A little status update, Adding college players is time consuming and not fun. But I am working my way through it. There's been a couple small problems along the way. But Erich has been kind enough to offer help and advise on these issues. I have a logo request thread up in the graphics side. I would really appreciate it if someone would take a crack at that for me. I am thinking it's like 40 logos that I am missing, mostly lesser D1 College teams. After I finish adding the players to the file, all that is left is to work on ratings. then clean up a few loose ends. Also as I've mentioned before, there are a couple leagues, especially over in Asia that I'd love to add. But I really need someone that can read any Asian leagues to possibly help me translate. Because I can't get everything I need from the translation sites I know off. and I'd really love to be able to at least add Korea and Taiwan. With Germany, Italy's A2 Series, and Spain as other possiblities. |
