Another player entry option
I know of course there are the options to either have a draft every year or to import players to their real-life teams. Is there a way to just import them and leave them as free agents to have them go to the highest bidder, kind of like having teams scout them and sign them up? Or is this something I would have to manually do each year?

Put your rounds drafted to zero, then all the players will go to FA.

Trying this out - if you enable the draft, the lowest number of rounds is one, which means the top players (usually) will still be drafted instead of allowing them to sign at-will.

I found this too, but can kind of reconcile it in my mind to allowing 1 player a year to be "discovered" by the big leagues (and minors in my case). Still gives you a ton of good free agents, especially in the early days when there were less teams.
