Scouting question

I hope one of you vets could answer me a question. How can I scout the free agent pool?

If you are in charge of a team, when you go to the free agents page you should see a button on the lower right called Scout League. That's what it does; it assigns the task to one of your scouts to do the entire league, either quick-scouting or intensively, either of which can take a while (63 and 127 days respectively in my game just now). Unless I am missing something, there is no way to scout just the free agent pool unless you do so by individual player.

What Yankees said is what I was going to say. One hint, If you spend the time scouting the entire league, you may want to lock that scout up to an extension. Because when they go, so do their scouting reports.

They should be searched when they leave the office.

Thanks for the answers.
Not what I was hoping for though.

Scouting certainly isn't perfect in this version of the game. It's probably easiest to play with it off while providing more of a challenge when playing with it on.

I play with scouting off, myself.

Well in the league I'm currently running I had my head scout, scout the League, upon finishing I went to the free agent pool and all the reports were "old" so I thought I was doing something wrong.
But, no, I like to use scouts too much to just disable them.
Thanks though.
