They did suspend McSorley for one calendar year. That's pretty lengthy.

Anti-matter and matter. Good thing they never met and shook hands.

I loved Whitaker. He's even more underrated than Trammell, and just as good as Ryne Sandberg.
Barry would be my favorite player ever if I didn't always choose a defensive player just to give the anonymous guys their due.

dola-
To use an eXtreme example, what if I said that Renteria grounding out to Foulke was the greatest finish to a World Series? That's what I was getting at. |

I think the Cardinals in the early and mid 70's were one of the most exciting offensive teams in the history of football. Hart at quarterback Terry Metcalfe and Jim Otis in the backfield. Mel Gray at wideout. Dobler, Dierdorf and Banks on the line and Bakken as the kicker. I swear if they had any kind of defense they could have been a dynasty. The only team that was similar was the Chargers in the late 70's and early 80's though they did have a lot better defense. I nearly cried when they lost to the Bengals in Ice Bowl II. When was that? 80, 81, or 82. The mid 70s Cardinals and late 70s early 80s Chargers have my vote at the most fun teams to watch in the history of football

Yeah, those Don Coryell teams in St. Louis and San Diego were amazing.
