Player stars, stats, and pictures
Several questions.
1. I had an imported league (form 6.5) where in year 3 my player's stars were going down from 5 to 3, or 2 even though they had near maxed ratings, and putting up great numbers. 2. What are stars based on? It seems like I can bring up a young prospect with high ratings, he will do well but remain at 1 overall star. 3. Pictures - Is there any way to change 1 players picture besides clicking on new player picture? Anyway to change skin color without changing all player pictures? 4. Split stats - is there a way to look at stats vs. lefty/righty from years of the past? (instead of just he current year) Thanks Shockz |

1. & 2. - Are scouts on? Because if they are, and you are looking at their star ratings, they may not be accurate. This is even more true if you have scouts on but are looking just at SISA ratings. See the Scouting section of the manual for more information. Also, importing a league from 6.5 may not be trouble-free in this regard - it's a different game engine doing the evaluations of players in OOTP 2007.
3. You can manually find the picture (labeled with the player's ID) in your saved game's images folder and switch the image with something else, but why? As you said, just click the new picture button until you get something that you like. If you want to change the skin color, go to the player's profile edit page (you have to be the commissioner for this), and change the Facial Type. 4. Go to Game, Game Setup, Player & Picture Options. Make sure the Keep Career L/R Splits option is set for either Major League Stats Only or Keep All if you want to see minors/internationals/independents. The trade off on these settings (the others are career fielding and postseason stats) is that they slow the game down and take up more disk space. |
