TBL Needs Owners..

Ok, I have been a commish now for about 2 months. I have learned a lot in those 2 months. I have seen owners on a few teams come in and trade every one of their prospects away for big name players and try to win the W.S in one year. Luckily all those trades were vetoed.

I am trying to filter out my league and place GM's of good nature who want to work withing my system of rules, build their teams up from within their organization, and are somewhat active owners. Teams avail - Colorado Rockies, Minnesota Twins, Chicago White Sox, Detroit Tigers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cleveland Indians, Seattle Mariners and the D-Backs. Because this isn't a 1 year league such as a fantasy baseball league. Trades such as Eric Chaves for T.Glaus are just plain out stupid..It is also stupid when a GM is in 1st place and he keeps on trading away his entire M.L system for 40 yr old guys..Then hmm he will take his team to hell and after this season he will quit prolly, then who is stuck with finding a new owner for his team...Yeah thats right me!!!!I started this league because I did not want it to be like 99% of the other leagues that teams make10 trades in one week...I wanted to keep in on the realistic side...Or as much as I could with my GM's still having Fun

What about the Florida Marlins? They did basically what you just described and won the world series. However, you are certainly free to run you league as you see fit. Was just curious as to why.
