I'd assume they're popular anywhere outside the centre of the Universe. Honestly I dont' blame them (and when they're brethren was in the finals, I know I was rooting for them to take out the Bettman poster-teams)

The monkey is dead, the party has begun and the Leaf fans are on suicide watch.
That's right ba-bee, we're off to the big dance!
![]() The monkey is dead, shot hard into the twine. ![]() A view that never gets old (although the third one should not have been needed. Darn Afiniganov) ![]() Always liked this. Even if you cant' stand he guy, it's a nice touch of class. Damn Buffalo goalie. ![]() Want a way to have a Leaf fans blood boil? Show him this picture. (and if things go well, have it replaced with the Cup in a week )![]() Ya got to give him credit. He kept them in it. IMO it's why it wasn't a sweep. It's a beautiful thing. It really is.

Jealousy is such a beautiful thing to see from your opposition.

I was on the 417 listening to Team 1200 when Alfie scored the OT winner, man that was awesome!

Two very good organizations that I couldn't really root against (most especially since the Sabres changed their godawful former uniforms and brought back the yellow/blue colour theme). I just hoped whoever took the East would win the Stanley Cup, and I still hope the Senators can win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history (especially if they face Anaheim).
With guys like Drury, Brière, Miller, Vanek, that was a great team to watch. I doubt the co-captains will both be back next year, and they might not be as dominant, but hey, Ottawa had a better regular season last time around and it's only this year that they reach the final.

I think their logo looks like that little mechanical ball with a small furry animal attached to it. But it beats the reddish jerseys. Yellow and blue are nice colours, and I also dig when they wear the old-time uniforms too. They're one of the nicest NHL uniforms ever.

Actually, I will, reluctantly, root for the Eastern Conference team in the finals. Especially if the Ducks win the West. <shudder>

On this we can agree. A Ottawa-Detroit final would be much more enjoyable to watch.

A team I quite like against a team I quite dislike. It'd be nice for the Senators to win this thing.

I feel lucky to have grown up in minnesota watching Basil McRae, Shane Churla, and Disco Dino in the Gold and Yellow. Quite a bunch of characters on that team, plus Modano when he was just good and not whiny.
I still have a sweet poster of Dino in my garage. |

Brian Bellows and Bobby Smith were two pretty decent players. Bellows was my favourite with the Habs when they won the Stanley Cup.

Glad I'm not the only one. As I kidded around with our resident leaf fan at work today, the Ducks fanbase jsut exploded in size (with Leaf Nation rooting for them)

Well, well. Now did the Moen - Påhlsson - Niedermeyer line do a job on Spezza & co or what?
