I so love baiting Yankees fans with the "Championships this Century" line.

(was posting this before Dale's warning...my bad)

I would also like an update...not because I'm anxious (can't play for about 1.5 weeks anyway)...just curious. Excited about this. Want to hear how it's coming. Erich, chime in here every three or four days if you can. Thanks.

Just a bump. As a community member that spent hours among hours in excel working on this spreadsheet, I am very curious on any updates there might be on this set. I personally went and got into the fictional aspects of the game but I would atleast like to see some of mine and other's hard work pay off on this set. So I'm going to ask the question, where are we at with this roster set?

Yea, don't do that! Don't even ask a question. Batists will be all over you. I asked a simple question about acrobat reader a few months back, and got ripped to shreds for by battists for asking it. Thats the difference int eh software busineess I guess, nobody cares about customer service. In the real world, you treat your customers like **** you usually pay with your job!

You do know Battists does not work for Markus or for SI, he's just a fan of the game like everyone here. As for support, this community has one of the greatest support teams I've ever seen and we can actually talk to the developer daily. How many big companies do that?

On topic, Erich I really appreciate your work and I can't wait til the rosters come out but I do have my historical league to keep me occupied until then so take your time.

Oh yeah? Where? I don't see him ripping anyone to shreds in that thread.

I have to agree with Mike D. I have never seen a moderator ripping anyone and have for most part have seen cordial and curteous replies from them.

I'd love to see a link too. The only thing I see, in what I believe is the thread you address, is Battists using a "" because he doesn't like the fact that acrobat 7 won't convert links like acrobat 6 did.

Just a quick post to let you all know that I am still alive. I have delegated out some of the remaining work to be done. There are about 260 players missing that need to be added into the file. So that plus some of the stats and the minor league coaches are all that is really missing for a release. I am sure that once the file is released it will be brought to my attention how badly players are rated and that things are missing. We will work to get all of this cleaned up as soon as we can.

thanks.

I apologize to those that have been patiently waiting. If it is any consequence, I still haven't had any time to play the game either.

Huh?

I can honestly not remember ever ripping anyone to shreds on this or any other Internet forum. In fact, I imagine I'd come close to winning any competition for Least Confrontational Person on the Boards.

If you're referring to this post (which is the only thread I can find in which we discussed Acrobat and you participated...), Sweed's analysis is correct. I was complaining about Acrobat 7 not converting hyperlinks correctly.

Nevertheless, if I somehow gave you the impression that I was attacking you somehow, it certainly wasn't intentional, and I apologize, and I hope that corrects any misunderstanding you had about me!

This whole roster project turned out to be a huge freaking joke. I feel especially sorry for the community members who did everything they could to pitch in and help. Its obvious very little is coming of this. We get no updates, no excitement, nothing...only posts that seemed forced every other week with no details in regards to the status of the project.

Thank god for stand up guys like CubbyFan and others who took care of business and don't get the community excited and refreshing roster threads begging to give their time to help .. only to be let down by another garden variety excuse.

Are you kidding me? Do you even read these posts?

Look at Post #275. That sure looks like an update with details to me!

It's posts like these that absolutely irritate me to no end. I only use OOTP for my online league, so I don't even have a vested interest in this or any other file, but this post set a fire under me. Absolutely unnecessary, and I think you owe Erich an apology.
