As a lifetime Phillies fan I feel it's best to make a Dynasty about my favorite team! I will be making weekly update posts, sorta in the ilk of A New Kind of Brew a dynasty that I love reading. This is my first time doing a dynasty so please bear with me as I'll likely mess up...alot...

Phillies Start Off Season On Fire, go 4-1.

April 3rd PHILLIES 10 REDS 5 - OPENING DAY

Brett Myers struggled early giving up 4 runs in the first. He got a run back on his own knocking in Victorino in the second. The Phillies got another run back the following inning on a sac fly by Utley. Next batter up in the 3rd was Howard, he hit a towering 461 foot upper deck shot to make it 4-3. Then in the next atbat Pat Burrell hits a long homerun on a full count to tie it at 4! The 4th inning started with a lead off homer by Carlos Ruiz to put the Phils ahead. Brandon Philips comes back with a strong 376 foot homer. Ryan Howard hit an RBI double in the 7th to put the Phillies back in the lead. Reds pitcher Gary Majewski walked in a run as well. Jayson Werth got a bases loaded RBI pinch hit to put the Phillies up good 9-5. The Phillies would tack on another run in the 8th inning to go up 10-5 and that was the final.

Week In Review
I'm proud of my guys great start to the year at 4-1. We could have used better starts from Myers on opening day and from Eaton, but overall all was well. I'm excited to see how Zach Segovia does in his first career start. And I'm happy to see our bats coming out strong...well...mostly...Jimmy Rollins is scaring me.
