Hi guys,

Can any of you get files to load on padresfan website with all of the mods? Nothing will download for me. Is it a problem with the site?

I've seen guys pinging him about this - the host for his web site seems to be having recurring problems. Be patient and try again.

hey guys, sorry about the server issue, there is really nothing pads can do when I have a problem and i have been working long hours recently so depending on the problem it can sometimes take a bit before i can fix it.

anyway, back to the server problem. I honestly don't know yet why it had the latest problem. I am leaning towards a simple bad cable from the server to the router. At the moment all i have are real long cat 5 cables, and the server only sits a foot from the router

so I know i have an end around here someplace, I'll splice a new cable before i goto bed. If the problem comes back i'll move the server back to the old box and dig around some more

bah, you spoke to soon, turns out it's the lan card going out. But at least i didn't have to rip the machine apart this time to track down the problen. if i touch the cable by the lan card the router drops (or picks up, depending on the current status) the server and swaping the cable doens't make a difference.

so a simple swap of the lan card will fix the problem.
