Two PBP issues - same AB
Newest PC version
Bases loaded, bottom of the 9th, score is 6 to 4 (for the visiting Detroit Tigers, I'm the Devil Rays). The last few lines of text are: Jaha is going for third Valentin cuts it off, fires to third Headfirst slide by ... (I've forgotten what it says exactly here) Jaha hits a bases clearning RBI double... Ballgame!!! Detroit wins it 6 to 4 First off, the line "Headfirst slide by..." is lacking the runner's name, in this case, John Jaha. Secondly, I won the game 7 to 6 on the final play - it was a bases clearing double where I scored right before my guy was thrown out at third trying to stretch it into a triple. However, the PBP says that "Detroit wins it 6 to 4). Thirdly, the game log text that finishes off every inning says "Bottom of the 9th over - 4 run(s), 2 hit(s), 0 error(s), 0 left on base; Detroit 6 - Tampa Bay 4.... But the end of the game text gets it right "Game Over ... Tampa Bay defeats Detroit 7 to 6" So... Two problems with the PBP and one with the game log - but it was an exciting game to the finish! |

During beta testing, I identified (NUMEROUS times, actually!) these types of PbP and log problems when the third out is made on the basepaths. I know it was TTd, then claimed fixed, then regressed, etc., etc. After all that, I'm not even interested in looking it up in the TT database. Unfrtunately, Markus chose to wait until the last week or two of the beta process to concentrate much on the PbP. It got short-changed (as, I understand, it also did the year before). So, I'm not surprised that problems remain. BTW, if Tysok sees this thread, he can take care of the missing name in the PbP for you.

TT 3621 for the runner's name.
TT3622 for the score problem.
