Game Options-Team Controls

I can't seem to get this answered Section 23.2.1.1 Game Controls Team Options, page 410 say's this is possible "Commisioners have the option of Managing either or both teams."

In the middle of the game when I am playing vs. a computer manager, I would like to go into the computer team and make changes. For example, I was leading by 3 runs in the 8th inning. the computer team was in the field, I had a runner on third base with 0 outs. The computer team was playing the infield at normal depth. They should have been playing in, to cut off the run at the plate down 3-0. I went to options on the top of the screen and in the defensive options spot changed from the computer manager to my manager, I am playing in commissioner mode. I went back to the game screen to try and move the infield in, but the infield defense dropdown was still gray'd out and I could not adjust it. Am I not able to switch control from computer manager during the game? and if not, why is it an available option?

You should be able to select during the game. However, it appears that the AI had already made it's choice for that particular play. Try running it to the next play and see if you do indeed have control over both teams or if everything is "greyed" out.
