Half Time in the Southampton V Derby game with the score 1-1, superb 45 mins with Surnam bending a shot in from 20 yards out to take an early lead and Derby coming back with a looping header from Howard. If your not watching this game you should be jealous because it's been one of the best 45 mins I've seen for a very long time.

2-1 Derby on a penalty kick by Steve Howard!

Southampton 1 v 2 Derby County you wont see many better games than this and this is why I rate the Championship on the whole a better league to watch, we hear alot about top teams don't entertain because there's so much pressure well both Southampton and Derby were playing in a game with around £50 million worth or pressure but they still managed to entertain.

Dortmund 2 Schalke 0

Great match. Worns and Metzelder are playing at a very high level ATM. For Borrusia to overcome their financial Gotterdamerung and qualify for Europe is a magnificent acheivement. And shame on Schake for playing so dirty.

Seeing how clearly you remember it after 30 years makes a strong argument that it shouldnt be allowed to happen again.

This will possibly go down as the greatest Bundesliga season ever.
A tight race all the way down the table.
And record revenues and profits.
In fact profits are up 21% over last season excluding WC revenue from teams renting out their stadiums.
Attendance was up 13% overall and something over 55% of games were sellouts and over 70% were over 85% capacity.
That is better than any other legues besides La Liga
The German FA made a massive sum of money from the WC and has already promised to put most of it back for the future.

If this keeps up the Bundesliga in a few years could find itself as the best league in Europe and able to attract bigger stars while being able to keep its own stars in the league.

I also want to add that I am extremly excited about the formation of 3 Bundesliga next season.
It is long overdue and adds another level to the German game and gives some stability to teams bigger than the regional leagues but outside of 2 Bundesliga

Good luck to the three teams battling against relegation today in the Premiership - give it everything you've got or I'll send Danny Dichio after you!!!

Totally different as no other teams had cheated in 78.

Well, it was 1982, not 1978

(If he is referring to Germany-Austria, that is)

Edit: Oh, he's not. My Bad. That was just as bad, anyway.

Written today by probably one of the most respected writers in England.

All the politics, threats and legal wrangling may have whetted the appetite for West Ham's visit to Old Trafford this afternoon, but anything other than relegation for the Hammers would leave the most unpleasent of tastes in the mouth of any sports fan.

Harry Harris.

He also goes on to add that this 3rd party contract that West Ham ripped up so that Tevez could carry on playing will suddenly be re written after the season is finished so that Tevez can be sold during the summer.

Yeah the Germany v Austria was another fixed game to help both teams, East Germans used to do it alot to fix it for Dynamo Berlin to break the record for consecutive championships, held by Celtic at the time.

If West Ham win and Wigan lose that would make a it a 6 point difference. Will anyone still cling onto this as an excuse for going down? A seven point deduction would have been too much surely?

At the end of the day, Wigan are playing ****. Sorry mate, but I'm sure you are the first to say they might as well not have turned up for games lately. And that's such a shame as I have a lot of time for Jewell as a manager. If they had played better they wouldn't be where they are. It's all done and dusted, no-one may like it but it's happened. You ask any Hammers fan and they'll be very sheepish about the whole thing, but coming out with all this (as a chairman/owner) when your club is trying to survive must create a negative air within the team. It's almost saying, "If you go down, don't worry, we have our excuses ready. It had nothing to do with being total failures on the pitch."

Is West Ham do stay up, do you think Fulham and SU/Wigan will still seek legal action when they stay up also? What would they have to gain?

One last Q If Wigan had Tevez on their team right now, would you agree that your team should go down for that fact alone?

I think Charlton would have joined in with the legal talk if Pardew wasn't manager. He wouldn't let them do that to West Ham, he loves that team. You could tell when his side panked them 4-0 and he didn't celebrate really.

What did Fergie say about having respect for the relegation battle? Ronaldo, Scholes, Vidic, and someone else, all on the bench. Rio Ferdinand not even there. I really didn't see a full team coming out with the cup final in 6 days time.

NOBODY as made it an excuse on where Wigan are, but the fact of the matter is West Ham BROKE the rules and in summing up the Chairman of the panel stated they let West Ham off with a fine because it was late in the season and they didn't want to penalise the fans, then howcome Bury were thrown out of the FA Cup ? didn't that penalise the fans, Scarbrough got docked points didn't that penalise the fans ?

If Wgan had done the same I'd feel embarressed and would understand how fans felt and would admit we stayed up by cheating, no doubt you wont believe me but to be honest my word and honesty has been questiond on this thread twice so I couldn't care less if anybody believed me or not.
