OOTP4 - OOTP5 changes?

Two things I'm wondering about that were in OOTP4 that I don't see in OOTP5.

1. Where is the Ticker Tape, was that removed?

2. In OOTP4 you had the choice to save many of the screens
as a .txt or .html file .. Using the built in browser that comes with OOTP5 I see no option to save the boxscore or other screens that could be saved in OOTP4. Of course I realize that all the screens are already in HTML format. However if I want to save a particular screen or boxscore, I shouldn't have to go search through the folders to find that particular boxscore file.

So why was the save as .txt option removed? Why are there no options to save the screen you are looking at? Is my only choice to use the external browser Internet Explorer the solution?

just open the box score (or other HTML report) in your "EXTERNAL" browser (ie your Internet Explorer), click on 'View" then "Source". The page will pop up in note pad, click "save as", name it something like "box.htm" or "box.html" and then go find that and open it. It's saved to your hard drive now outside the game. Exactly what the old "export" feature did but with an additional step added.

Hi , okay so I need to use the external browser. So instead of
just clicking on View > Source. If I'm going to save it as an .htm or .html I can just click File in external browser and save it that way. Thanks for responding. So anyone know why the "Ticker Tape" function was scrapped?

I didn't even noticed the ticker was gone until you mentioned it.
Can't say I ever took the time to watch it all go by the same info could be had instantly in the news section. Seemed like alot of xp users had issues getting it to work so maybe it was just easier to scrap since it really doesn't take away from the game, at least IMHO.

I really don't miss the ticker either. It was just a bit of a shock to see it was gone. Especially since I haven't seen anyone mention it on the boards.
