Without a doubt..Can someone who knows Erich see if we can get you guys polishing up on his set- doesn't that make more sense- assuming he's willing to allow it after the whole pooholes fiasco....Think about it- when Erich's set comes out- it undoubtedly will be more complete- but will need someone to go through and tidy up salaries, managers, contracts and the like. Seems crazy to do all this stuff over again- but that's just my opinion.

The key is to make sure that you are using the same version of the game when you initially load the file into your game.

What does that mean the same version? I'm using the 2007 game with the first patch. What do I have to do to get it to the same version?

well that is something that I can't tell you only the person who created that file can tell you what version of the game they were using when they saved the file and created the zip file.

I used the latest beta patch -- Erich, I know you've had some problems going on lately, is there a point to putting something rough like this together or can you see something in the close future being released? Feel free to PM me if you don't feel like talking about it openly in the thread.

**UPDATE**

Okay, we officially have a team working on this project.

HB sent me his file , and over the next few days we're going to be tag-teaming this project to try and get ratings, managers, salaries, etc. etc. done and up to date. He already has a LOT done so far (ALL the players vitals are in, we just have to do ratings and salaries and such) and is saving us all a lot of time. So please give him a huge thanks if you see him around.

We're planning on giving you guys updates every day or so with where progress is.

Just thought I'd give a little update....

I have given Cubby the roster file and he's working on doing some player ratings and I am finishing up all the coaches

I will be asking alot of you for help over the next few days so I can complete the coaches file. By the way, does anyone know the Hitting and Pitching coaches for the Yakima Bears (Low-A Arizona) or does anyone know where there is ONE site that lists the minor league coaches, it's getting tedious going through each teams individual web page.

these are the 06 coaches for yakima. i can't find anything to say they have changed for 07, and I don't find a master listing of minors coaches anywhere?

pitching coach Erik Sabel and hitting coach Luis De Los Santos.

actually the yakima hitting coach is Francisco Morales. Erik Sabel is returning as pitching coach. I pulled this info from the 2007 Arizona Diamondbacks media guide.

Okay I've been trying to figure out how to handle this, and I think this is what we're going to do, barring any objections from hb (I haven't gotten a chance to run this by him yet).

Ratings are going to be based of PECOTA projections loosely. I've used these in the past and I like them a lot, they get a few players off that put up just one good season and don't project well (which we'll edit to be more like real life) but for major leaguers and AAA players, they seem to be fairly accurate, and much more accurate than me simply "guessing" what a guy will do this year. We're also editing the Top 30 players in the organization rating wise.

HOWEVER, this leaves the other guys (who ARE in there, but are not rated very properly) in the lower minors, since I honestly don't know what a 24 year old scrub in AA has a strengths and weaknesses since I don't know everything there is to know about these organizations -- other than what I can see on stats.

So I'm going to try and upload each team when I get done including the minors, and any fans/knowledgeable people can stop through and give insights into these players. I think this would be the best way to do it and to get everyone involved.

WHAT??? replacing Luis De Los Santos with Francisco Morales? That's crazy. When this roster file is released, I expect to see this negatively reflected.

I'm assuming there are 29 teams frantically searching for the cell phone number of Luis De Los Santos.
